There has been a lot of discussion in this forum on the need to enhance MM so it can better handle classical music. But there has not been much clarity in the forum on what those enhancements should be. Here is my wish list of the three most important things to do to better support classical music. Fortunately, at least two of these suggestions are supposed to be implemented in v. 3.
1. We need separate fields for composer, performer(s), and conductor. The composer and performer fields need to be visible and sortable on the MM navigation tree.
2. We need at least two genre fields for each piece of music.
3. Auto-Playlist and the other playlist functions need to work at the album level as well as the track level.
If MM can implement these 3 suggestions, I think we could meet 80-90 percent of classical music needs.
