Settings survive repartition and clean install

by OttifantSir » Sun Jun 10, 2007 7:55 am

Certainly, there aren't many of those, but I found that MediaMonkey is one of those where some settings survived a repartition and clean install. Like my Party Mode password.

I know that the information on the drive aren't gone when repartitioning or deleting them, the system just removes the headers of the files. But still, how can MediaMonkey, and a very few other programs, like eMule (it remembered my speed settings), obtain the settings I have done everything, except using Killdisk, Eraser or any other safe-delete program, to destroy?
