I got this same error, when changing from glided to blue glass skin (an auto-scan was also going, and playing a track).

I've already submitted it twice through the automated system, do you want me to email it as well?

You can try to create a debug log and e-mail it to me.

the quantoms are just the threads used by the cpu to do more work for either system or program processing.

system will speed up the os a little more by tossing more of them that way,

programs will speed up for the same reason. tossing a little more to them.

you find the option to set them the same place you do the virt memory in winXp but i don't know if they have the option in Vista.

No, but with 4GB RAM and an equivalent page file, I shouldn't have to. Plus, other versions of Mediamonkey (2.55, Alpha 5) don't have this problem.
also if they still allow you to adjust quantoms to work with system or with programs in the vista os. try setting them to the other one then they are set for the default one and see if that works. 8)
I haven't heard of Quantoms, what are they? Again though, I'm not keen on changing any system-wide settings just for one program - the problem is clearly an issue with this version of Mediamonkey.

Thanks for the suggestions though!

Alpha 6: Big Playback Problem (Not enough storage...)

Hi guys,

Have been looking forward to testing Alpha 6 - I had seen some big improvements between Alpha 4 (which was unusable for me) and Alpha 5 (which was good but not as stable as I would have liked).

However in the new version I get the same error message after a song that is playing finishes. It happens every single time:

'Not enough storage is available to process this command.'

When I dismiss the dialog, the next song in the playlist starts playing. This doesn't happen when there are no songs queued in the playlist, only when a song should start up next, so whatever problem this is happens somewhere between one song finishing and the next one starting.

Any ideas? I have tried switching input and output plugins which made no difference at all. Back to Mediamonkey 2 in the meantime.
