well it wouldn't play mine it asked me to install quicktime when i tried

You should not need in_mp4.dll. In fact, if you install it, you'll probably hear glitches (others have described as "crackles") in your m4a files. MM3 uses the built-in f_aac.dll to play m4a files.

I have .m4a tracks which dont seem to work, says i need quicktime installed, so i installed quicktime alternative and it still didnt work.

Ps. Using Vista
