As Kugel. say. If you want to find these albums I recommend my Tagging Inconsistencies script (link in signature) which finds tons of other errors as well.

Just tag the ALBUMARTIST tag, to e.g. Various Artists.

The Artist & Album Artist node will then sort by album artist (and fall back to artist if album artist is untagged).
If the album artist is the same for all tracks on the album, the album node should clutter anymore.

The ARTIST tag can stay as it is, with each separate artist.

problem with library and compilation albums

I have a lot of compilation albums(dance etc) and now get a lot of them from napster.

When they are imported into the library(as my napster folder is monitored), an album I have just downloaded under the album node has each track listed as a seperate entry due to the album artist being different for each track.

This means when I select a track in my library like this and find more from the same album, it only gives me 1 track.

Apart from manually removing all album artists manually(I'd be happy just to have artists in an artist node and album name only in album node) is there something I can change in MM to stop this happening(it also makes my album node huge).

I see the reason for having album artist but with a lot of compilation albums, it causes problems.
