I have 10 episodes in my error SELECT again after cleaning up everything yesterday.

Not sure what is really happening at the moment. Will take another look when I am fully awake.

Testing podcasts getting more than a bit confusing.

The point is that NO episode should be downloaded.

e.g. The feed had 10 items. Items 1-4 were removed. Item 5 (the first displayed item) was downloaded.

Brain farting at the moment finding better feed URL. CNet has switched their Podcast Central around and I am still waiting for my first coffee of the morning to brew.

Owyn, I am not exactly sure I understand correctly, but if an episode had been previously downloaded and removed then it should not be automatically downloaded again.

The process is: Check for new episodes in the feed, download the most recent (if this is set), but don't download episodes that have been already downloaded.

Btw. the http://feeds.feedburner.com/cnet/newsdaily doesn't seem to be a valid podcast RSS feed, e.g. iTunes cannot handle it at all, MM handles it by extracting mp3 link from the A HREF html tag.

Noticed what looked like an old episode being downloaded.

Checked CNet Daily News subscription.

Subscription had "Show removed episodes" Unchecked.

Checked option and it showed that the 3 newest episodes [b]in the feed[/b] had been previously downloaded and removed.

The episode downloaded was the newest [b]displayed[/b] episode, not the newest in the feed.
