Really?
I don't know what are MTP and Mass storage mode, or whether my phone supports them. I do know that when my phone is connected to the computer I can transfer files to and from it using the usual 'drag and drop', but still MediaMonkey doesn't recognize it as a portable device so I can't sync. I figured the problem is with MediaMonkey, isn't it?

Also, I'm not the only one having problems syncing a Symbian phone, I saw a lot of reports on this issue on other threads, for example:
