This problem occurred on my Windows 7 64bit machine too and apparently is due to the latest Quicktime update. I do not even have an iPhone, so I am very annoyed with Apple

! Removing or renaming d_iphone.dll solves the problem for me and allows MM to start normally, but won't help people with Apple hardware. You have my sympathy.
