Unfortunatelly it isn't possible. Some users did some work on editing the database manually, which is a possible way, but there isn't any user-friendly way implemented (it can change in someday).

I just found and installed SongsDB. My intention was to not only use it as a CD database, but to also have my extensive library of Vinyl LP's in it.

I have gone over it pretty well, but can't figure out how to create a database manually. If this isn't possible, I understand your goal must have been for CD's only. But if it is possible to do this, please point me to information on how.
