I have an iPod Classic and could use an explanation how Track/Album Analysis versus Volume Leveling affect playback after syncing your MM3 library to the iPod. I have only mp3s in my collection and Volume Leveling is always unchecked (turned off) when syncing. So for Volume Leveling I am asking about applying it directly to the mp3s in the MM library.
1. If you have applied both Track and Album Analysis to your mp3s does MM3 write the info from both of these tags to the iPod database? Which value does the iPod Sound Check feature use? Can the iPod use only one of these for playback? Both?
2. I have read that Volume Leveling info can be read by all mp3 players. I assume this is also true for the iPod Classic but is playback volume adjusted independent of whether the Sound Check feature is turned on?
3. I am looking for the best overall choice for a) my MM3 mp3 music library and b) those same tracks copied to my iPod Classic. Any informed opinions?
Thanks,
