on be half of nohitter151 and me
we are glad its fixed.
now i know you have mm 2 so do i are you getting errors from the access alerts with the okay buttons on when you try and clear the text in the add rescan panel of the items you want to search?
i have to go in the ini file all the time and empty that out of the ini also just to clear that text area.
just incase you have not noticed it yet. here is what i am talking about.
1. open mm 2.
2. go to the my computer node in monkeys tree.
3. select the folder on the hard drive you have to keep new music in.
4. click on add rescan.
5. on the panel that shows up look in the text area that has the pathway in to scan. mine has the previous one listed in there even if the folders i had in that one folder before are no longer there.
6. click the mouse in the area on the right side to be able to drag all to the left to select all the ones listed in the area.
7. upon getting the last text character selected on the left you will get the access error alerts with the okay button.
the only way to stop it is to close mediamonkey 2 then restart it.
thats the error and the cause of it. the fix is as i said go in to the ini file and remove the last scaned folder pathways so it reads last scanned =
save the ini close it and restart mediamonkey then you won't have anything listed in that area to need to be removed. and you can just select the folders you want to add files from, of course i have to do this every time i add songs. and with over 2000 songs that have been added this year alone that mm 2 on win98 is giving me that error a lot.
just thought i would give you a heads up if you have not seen it yet. or how to fix it if you had.
that is only on mm2.5 i get that error.
