Good grief. :(

Tracked at http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=5804 .

Thanks.

Unskinned <CTRL>-DEL works. In search bar and Properties window. Then you probably have the standard Windows control.

With Brushed Monkey or iTunes skins it doesn't.

B.t.w.: Unskinned <CTRL>-Y doesn't work! (but I think I already mentioned).

We're not talking about the same thing. I'm talking about the CTRL+DEL you asked about:

In which input control are you missing it? I find it present in the input controls I have tried e.g. Search bar. This on Win XP SP2, MM non-skinned.

No. The text does not reappear and MM beeps.

Cris,

Strange , our different functionality

Let's make sure we are talking about the same thing.

1. I type in a general editor (e.g. Wordpad): "aaa bbb"
2. <CTRL>-Z: it disappears.
3. <CTRL>-Y: it reappears.

If I do the same thing in the field for any tag in the Properties window, in step 3 nothing happens.

With you the text also reappears?

It's not very serious; I rarely use <CTRL>-Y.

For me it works fine there e.g. Track title, Album. This on 1256.

That's the only way I know.

I miss it editing tags in the properties window. But in the search bar and in the search window it also doesn't seem to work. <CTRL> Z does.

This is unskinned ("Override Skin them ..." and "Override skin Background"; how else do I unskin?) and under Brushed Monkey and under iTunes skin.

In which input control are you missing it? I find it present in the input controls I have tried e.g. Search bar. This on Win XP SP2, MM non-skinned.

The redo key, <CTRL>-Y is another one that doesn't work.

<CTRL>-Z (undo) is working now; I guess since MM 3.1. <CTRL>-Y I don't use much, but sometimes ....

Great. I'll keep my eyes on other standard editing features that are missing.

Standard Windows editing in MM [#5804]

Why doesn't MM support the standard Windows (shortcut key) editing possibilities?

What I am missing is <Ctrl><DEL> to delete to end of word.
