I have just started to hear a static click/pop at random points on a song. If I go back to that point, I cannot reproduce the pop. I am listening to 320kbps tracks and haven't altered any settings. Is this the same as the issue on this thread or do I need to post a new thread? If it is the same, this issue has just started as new for me as opposed to being a fixed old issue for the users in this thead.
MM is set at 89db. The equaliser is off and I am using the standard functions of the player. The only thing I have altered since this issue appeared is that I have played around with the equaliser but not getting the sound I required, I set it all back to default and switched it off. This couldn't possibly be the issue would it?
After months of altering EVERY filepath and library track after a HD failure messed it up, I WILL BE SO ANGRY if all my playlists burn with these pops on them. It will blow my car speakers up!
Please help!
pops and clicks in the songs? how close is the power wires for the cooling fans to the gray cables, them being too close might cause radio noise.
also are you using a wifi modem card and is it close by the sound card or the speaker wire hanging out of the back of the tower? i have never got pops and clicks in this computer until i put that wifi modem card in then the speaker wire is now too close and i get the pops and clicks when doing anything on the web, while playing music.
also if that is not the trouble then you might have parts of the songs missing causing little scratching sounds.
this could happen when you computer hd died and caused data to be lost by it not being able to be moved from the bad sector's when it was defraged. so when its played the song clicks and pops.
if you still have the same hd and are still using it then it might be losing sectors again on you. try doing a check disk and seeing if anything is fixed by that.
don't give up on it though. i'm still trying to figure out what cut half a song out of the song's file on my systems.
the song was listed as the proper time length but stopped half way in the song and switched to another one.
when i checked that song in the wav editor it only showed half the data the last part was just a flat line?
so strange things do happen.
