you can make the mp3's so small in size by picking a small bit rate. that would allow you to get up to 10 hours of music
on one cdrom.

HOWEVER the small size will compromise the sound on the file.

i used to use files that were a 256 bit rate when i put them on cd's and
that got me about 5 hours of muisc on the one disk with normal sound quality.

with old store bought cd's that was 5 cd's, but now they can put over an hour on a cd so it might only be 3 or 3, 1/2 cd's

When dealing with data CD, size matters. A standard CD-R (80 minutes) can contain up to 700 MB.

It depends on the size of the mp3 files, which is dependant on the bitrate you choose when encoding the mp3s.

I wanttocompile an MP3 CD for mywife from a collection of standard CDs. Assuming a 60 min CD how many could I transfer to an MP3 CD?
