Can confirm this.... I switched to WAVE output which improves this.

I wouldn't see it is expected, but this behavior does go back to MediaMonkey 3. I think it was file format and output plugin dependent though. Neither 3.x nor 4.x give me issues tagging playing FLAC files.

I don't think this is anything new, the same effect goes back to MM3. Isn't this expected when tagging?

This Happens for MP3 Files
I'm Using MediaMonkey Direct Sound Output.

I have the same problem: If i change a tag at a title that is actually playing (rating, genre, artist ...) i get a short delay:
Win 7 SP1 - MM Direct Sound Output
This effect is new.

Same thing is happening to me. This happens with both FLAC and MP3 files and I'm using the WASAPI output. I'll work on a debug log when I get back...

You'll need to provide some more details as to what file type(s) this happens with and what Output Plugin you're using. A debug log is often the most helpful: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=6&t=341

Song delayed when rating[#8549]

Hello,

I'm using the Latest MediaMonkey 4 RC1 (4.0.0.1445), on Windows 7 SP1
I noticed that when rating a song while the song is played, the song gets delayed and jumps backwards for a second.
This happens every time any song is being rated, whether by rating from the console or from the thumbprint view of windows 7.
