Thnx!

I wasn't aware it existed in MM3 as well. I have very few songs with such characters.

Yes, it does work if you're copying it from the full filename in properties but it doesn't work if you just select a file and then press ctrl+c (thus without going into the properties dialog at all).

Onweerwolf,

I just tested this out as follows:
1 rename file by appending 'și' to the filename (in MM)
2 copy the full filename (via the Properties dialog)
3 paste the filename into notepad++

--> Works fine (assuming I set the character encoding in Notepad++ to UTF-8 (if I leave it at the default of ANSI, I get the question marks).

Is it possible that the document to which you're pasting the file isn't encoded in a manner that would support the character?

When you select a track in MM, press ctrl+c and then paste it in another application like a text editor or Excel the path of the track will be copied. There is a however a problem with some characters. See this example:

This path:

Local\Zdob și Zdub\Zdob și Zdub - Boonika Bate Doba.mp3

Will result in:

Local\Zdob ?i Zdub\Zdob ?i Zdub - Boonika Bate Doba.mp3

I'm not entirely sure if this worked correctly in MM3 or not but I can't remember encountering that problem before and I use this function a lot.

(Using Trixmoto's custom report script does not have this problem.)
