Wavpack tags

I also put a vote for better Wavpack integration. :D
Been using MM for a year now and I'm very pleased with most of the features. But since I've done quite some researching and tryouts with different formats; I ended up with Wavpack as the best lossless encoder. With the winamp plugin MM can read these files but I have problems with the Apev2-tags. Anyone who knows how to solve this?

Support for wavpack would be most appreciated.

I enjoy using MM to help me convert between formats (including WAV tag support!). Unfortunately the only way I see to convert between my INFO/RIFF tagged WAV files and wavpack is to first convert in MM to FLAC and then use foobar to convert to wavpack. I'd love to get away from using foobar and keep MM as my main tool not only for retagging but also media management.

wavpack is ideal for me since it allows me to keep all of my lossless encodings on my home system and still provide a set of lossy files for use on my more space constrained portable (which is currently my Treo 650). The convenience is great and the overhead is minimal.

MM do not natively support WavePack it is different from MusePack (MPEG+ or MPC)

Versions of encoders used

fyi: this info is usually found in the what's new file.

If I recall correctly MM 2.4.2 has:
LAME: 3.9.6
OGG Vorbis: 1.1

MM 2.5 adds FLAC: 1.1.2

I couldnt get wavpack (wv) files to play in MM 242874 but after installing a winamp plug in everything worked fine.

MM used the latest versions of these for version 2.4 and they weren't changed for 2.5 (yet). The policy is not to upgrade until there's a new significant feature added in the format. However, if you find any of the components outdated in MM, let us know.

I did some searching but could not come across what versions of Flac, WavPack, Ogg are used in the current version 2.4?
Did they change in 2.5?
