If you change something on your track lyrics text (Edit Properties, Tab 'Lyrics'), you can't see the language that will be used as prefix.
As already mentioned
here it should be possible to see AND change the prefix according to the id3 lyrics-standard, as described in the id3v2.4.0-frame:
Code: Select all
4.8. Unsynchronised lyrics/text transcription
This frame contains the lyrics of the song or a text transcription of other vocal activities. The head includes an encoding descriptor and a content descriptor. The body consists of the actual text. The 'Content descriptor' is a terminated string. If no descriptor is entered, 'Content descriptor' is $00 (00) only. Newline characters are allowed in the text. There may be more than one Unsynchronised lyrics/text transcription' frame in each tag, but only one with the same language and content descriptor.
<Header for 'Unsynchronised lyrics/text transcription', ID: "USLT">
Text encoding $xx
Language $xx xx xx
Content descriptor <text string according to encoding> $00 (00)
Lyrics/text <full text string according to encoding>
The language should be referenced as described in the ISO standard
ISO/FDIS 639-2. Examples:
eng -> English
ger -> German
spa -> Spanish
The BIGGER problem actually is the fact, that a correct prefix like eng|| will be changed to XXX||after a single character change in the lyrics text. At least the existing language prefix must not be altered. It would be perfect, if a dropdown-box with the possible languages would be offered. Maybe a faster to use solution would be a dropdown-box with already existing language prefixes from songs in the archive and the possibility to add a new language prefix (should behave like the 'genre'-Box).
What do you think?
