Auto-Organize question

by xandora » Thu Oct 18, 2012 4:19 am

It's been such a long time since I set up MediaMonkey that I've completely forgotten how to get my Auto-Organize settings to work!

I'm using MM4, and currently have 3 folders that I use for music. D:\MusicV2\, D:\MusicV3\, and Y:\Music\. MusicV2 and MusicV3 are on a local drive that is the same machine MM4 is installed on. The other folder is on my Home Server Box and is a network mapped drive.

What I originally had set up was that any music I put on my computer, either downloaded or ripped from a CD would go into MusicV2. MM would pick this up and auto-organize it to MusicV3 the next time I opened it. Now somewhere along the line, it stopped doing this.

What I'd like to be able to do is have MM pick up the files that go into Y:\Music\, do it's thing (auto-organize, auto-tag, etc.)to them, move them to MusicV3 and then remove the files from Y:\Music\.

Can you help me?

EDIT: I figured it out! Turns out I hadn't enabled Read/Write authority over the Y: folder.
