Samsung MTP mode synching

by rusty » Fri Dec 16, 2005 2:12 am

Graham,

We're doing our MTP testing primarily on iRiver and Creative devices. Both seem to be working correctly (including writing to the correct directory).

fyi: the device exerts control over how the directories are created so I suspect that it's the Samsung device that's preventing them from being written correctly.

Any additional feedback from other users would be much appreciated.

Beta 4- Files don't get put in correct location...

by Graham » Tue Dec 13, 2005 4:06 pm

I've been saying this since the alpha - but when using the Windows Media driver on the Samsung YH-920, then the path specifiers (e.g. \Artist\album\track#-trackname naming methed DOES NOTwork. Also I ask for play lists to be copied to \PLAYLISTS (which is the ONLY location that the Samsung looks in - and they are not create there. EVERYTHING is dumped in a single \system\MUSIC folder, with no hierarchyl This means that some of my classical tracks over-write (same track number - same piece, same composer different orchestra). It also means the playlists are ignored

Please can someone confirm this on other WM devices
Thx
Graham
