I'm not sure if it's skipping because they have the same filename or the same Artist/Album/Title, or both, but I suspect the Artist/Album/Title referencing 2 different paths simultaneously is the issue. Not sure how it came to be configured like that, but obviously it's not a scenario that you'd normally see.

So the "problem" is that on a wifi sync files with the same filename on the device are skipped? That would be wonderful.

Just tried a re-sync following the deletion of the "duplicate" and it now works fine. Just to reiterate, the issue was a reference to two songs of exactly the same artist/song name but at different physical locations on disk. Thanks again - John

Hi - just to let you know that for /Music/Future of The Left/The Plot Against Common Sense/01 Empty.wav there was a second track being referenced with the same name, but which was actually /Music/Bad Beach/Cut It Off/01 Empty.wav. I've deleted this second track so we'll see whether in syncs properly without that reference. Also all tracks are auto converted to *.wma from (nearly always) *.wav files, so I don't think that it's a codec/conversion issue. I'll let you know what happens once the sync is finished. It is a list of unconverted tracks. I know it looks weird in your case. We display title and artist if available. The device filename is /Music/Future of The Left/The Plot Against Common Sense/01 Empty.wma ... so the title is "Empty". But it wasn't successfully converted because your WMA codec is probably not properly set. We will try to figure out why USB sync was successful and wifi sync wasn't.

I just did a clean install of MMA with MMW 1661 on the server, did a USB "first time" sync which went fine - no errors. I then did a WiFi sync which worked apart from 1 error which said "Completed with errors" "1 track(s) cannot be converted on server", but when I press the arrow next to this it just says "Empty". I have sent the android log ref: YWTKWRRWSK.

I'm guessing that this is related to changes made in build 164 ( http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=11269 ), in which MMA now gives more feedback re. previously silent sync failures.

I've tested this out in build 167 / MMW 1661, and the only time I'll receive an error along the lines you describe is if a USB sync also experience errors, in which case clicking the 'expand' indicator shows which specific tracks failed to convert.

Are you still observing this behavior? If yes, is there anything specific about the tracks that fail to convert?

Having done a USB sync on a clean Android install (no errors), doing a wifi sync immediately after gives me the following error: "Downloading of tracks failed" on the phone. It then continues with "Synchronizing playlists..." for some time before I get a "Synchronization completed with errors" - server was unable to convert some tracks. Please check autoconversion and codec settings on server side".
