PS. AAC is an open source codec and can be used by anyone. The iTunes AAC variant has DRM and is closed to Apple use only. This means that many players don't support AAC as the main use of AAC is the iTunes DRM version. Fewer people use the general AAC version which is open source. When ripping in iTunes you will create open source AAC files which can be used with any AAC compatible software/device.

AAC is not an Apple codec.

I think I might have figured it out ... hopefully this works

I switched from an iPod and iTunes. I just put everything to mp3 (they were aac before) b/c the Vision doesn't support AAC and I don't respect Apple for not opening their codec.

After importing, I noticed when I transfered the files to my Vision I would either have a black box where the album art should be when playing a file, or no album art at all. I since have gone through and looked at individual files. If you right click on the album art of some of the files (after applying the new ones) you will notice it will say "Image 1" and "Image 2". Image 1 will be your newly placed album art. Click on Image 2, and it will look like the icon that denotes "You have no album art for this title". If you right click on the "image 2", you can remove it. After you say "yes" you'll be golden.

P.S.- If you click the "remove from all album files" it should or has worked for me, but say you have 3 eminem songs and they're all from different albums. You will have to click each file individually and remove them one by one. You can try to do it like I said for albums, but it's not worked for me yet so I'm assuming it just flat doesn't work.

Good luck!

I spent a whole day with different media players trying to figure this out. MM makes it very easy to apply album art to cds. I may be doing an extra step, but so far I have been able to apply album art to all of my cds and they all show up in my creative zen vision m. First, when I am done downloading a cd I select all of the tracks and do an auto-tag from amazon. I have set it up to save the album art in an album art file on My Documents in windows. I then select auto tag. I close that box, and with the tracks still selected, I right click, go into properties, choose album art, say add. This will pull up the folder I saved the art to. I then select the appropriate cd, make sure all of the artist info is correct and say ok. When I sync my creative all of the info transfers.
I became obsessed with making this work and now it is very easy for me.
Hope this helps. 8)
