@Begges
This is not possible. If MediaMonkey updates tags (ie adds lyrics) it will always write all tags (at least the once with a different value in DB). The solution is what the other guys suggest. Make sure that MediaMonkey has the correct values (mp3tag values) in the DB so when it updates the tags it doesn't add incorrect values.

Rescanning files changed outside of MediaMonkey will change the library to match and visa versa.

If you set the 'watch folder' to the location(s) being tagged with lyrics, MediaMonkey will automatically update the library with the lyrics after evillyrics adds the lyrics to the files tag.

Alternatively just rescann any changed files as you go. This is how I do it, because I don't want to 'watch folders' containing 160GB of music.

Since MM is fairly new to you, are you aware of
Tools - Options - Library - Tags & Playlists - Update Tags when editing properties.. On/Off.

There are a few tagging options in that area.

If you activate the File-Monitor, MediaMonkey should always have the right values of each tag and would then save back all tags right.

But I don't know if there is a possibility to save only one special tag.

Write only one special Tag?

Hi,

is it possible to write only one special Tag and not all others?

E.g. just updating the lyrics?

Because i just use MM for Management, for Tagging i use mp3tag - but i will allow tagging of Lyrics in MM (with the evillyrics script). Now it always overrides my mp3tag tags with the changes i have made to the mm database. But i only want the lyrics changes to be saved.

Thanks

Begges
