Re: AutoRateAccurate 2.4.3 (29/10/2009) - Small bugfix
Thought I'd posted this already, guess not. Bug-ish: The rating based on plays works off of when you start listening to a track, not finish. For instance, I have my library on random, it started playing a unrated track I don't like (first play), so I skipped and it rated it 4 stars.....? (It was ...

Re: Last.FM Node: dynamic node based on last.fm 2009.08.17 [MM3]
For me, the auto DJ wouldn't work until I restarted MM. Been purring along perfectly since then :D *edit* Correction: All fine except for a bit of a bug - skipping a track (because you don't like it) means it doesn't register as played, and therefore doesn't get filtered out by the same track/artist ...

Setting MP3 VBR as incompatible format
Hi, My car CD player doesn't like VBR MP3's, and I'm trying to get MM to autoconvert them - I can get around the problem by setting it to convert *every* file, but I'd rather avoid this. Is there any way to get MM to differentiate between CBR and VBR tracks? I've also tried making an auto playlist ...

Re: music collection and database on pc and laptop
I'm having a hard time working out exactly what you want - couldn't you just have the collection and MM on the external HDD, so that whichever computer you plug it into you have the collection available? Also see this http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle ...

Re: Album Art not saved to all tracks
In my opinion the whole tag writing (in regards to now playing tracks) is flawed either way - you wither have to cop playback interruptions when tagging current song (this happens to me a lot, I have global hotkeys set for track ratings) or turn off writing to tags and have to synchronize (or with ...

Album Art not saved to all tracks
When adding album art, if Update tags when editing properties is turned off, only the last selected track (i.e. if you select track 1, hold shift and select to track 20) has the album art saved to it (Checking Apply to all tracks on album has no effect). Synchronize Tags does not update the album ...

Re: Comparing MP3 Players
If video and any other things like games isn't an issue, you can't go past the Sansa Clip. Superb sound quality and $60 for 4GB they are a steal. If you want to go more up market (video and such) Cowon makes awesome players (iaudio7 & S9 are both fantastic), and the Samsung P2 is good. I have a ...

Oooo basic coding support, I didn't even know you could do that... I'm assuming you put it in the directory in the Device Configuration?

Re: Multiple versions of a song - Sensible Solution
Yup, I agree. Unless MM starts supporting low level plugins/add-ons you can't get that level of modification through scripting. You might be interested in checking out SongBird, it's not hugely sophisticated as yet (I'm not a fan) but it uses low level addons so it could potentially do what you are ...

Re: Why Songbird will succeed where MM fails
I've owned MM a long time now, and I'm yet to see anything that rivals it. Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat said, it does definitely feel like MM has stalled development wise. It's like they expect that any new functionality you might want should just be handled with a user submitted script, but that's not ...

Re: Multiple versions of a song - Sensible Solution
I've (now) installed and had a good look at ZvezdanD's script, and I'll say it's a mighty fine script. I'm already using it where I have identical copies in different albums, and I do like it, and yes, you should be proud ZvezdanD. You've done a really nice job. :) If I could make a script as good ...

Re: One song, multiple albums
So, why do you think your solution would be better than mine? My, aren't we touchy... No, I hadn't looked at your script at the time (oh how mad you must be), but it doesn't do everything I'm after. Yes, it does the redirection rather well, i like the asx format - but if you had read through the ...

Re: One song, multiple albums
I think the best way would be to delete all but one copy of the mp3, and in the albums now missing the file have a xml which has a extension that MM would recognize as a link. We already have extra stuff tacked in folders for album art, not a new concept. The param would have to be most likely be ...

Re: Remove half-star and bomb ratings?
I've changed all my star ratings over to the whole star only ratings after buying a ipod, which has no half ratings (my one irritation with them), and I must admit I'd like a way to remove the half star nodes.... until then, I've just created 5 auto playlists (with rules being rating = 5 stars, 4 ...
