Re: Script: SonosReplayGain v1.0 [MM3]
I have now written a bit of binary code which can achieve the same thing for MP3 files. See http://west-penwith.org.uk/misc/sonosreplaygain.htm and my blog article at http://west-penwith.org.uk/blog/archives/1323 for a full description and the required downloads.

Re: Auto-Organize Remap Characters [#9196]
Hi, Lowlander has picked up the real issue - I would also point out that some title..FLAC can also cause problems with some third party software. @BitPusher Just for completeness I will explain. MM already changes certain characters which presumably you are coping with. This set increased with the ...

Re: Auto-Organize Remap Characters
If it is possible to do it to first and last then that would be even better. Mentioning it in the release notes is essential; anyway - however your use of them must be pretty unusual.

Auto-Organize Remap Characters [#9196]
Not so much a bug as a suggestion for improvement. The remap table in MediaMonkey.ini [FilenameMappings] shopuld map 2E=2D as well as the existing default ones. Justification - 2E is the dot character. A dot on the start of a file name can make files invisible on some NAS systems and to Linux/Unix ...

Writing new ID3 Tags [#6218]
Hi - I would like to write a script which would replicate the existing ReplayGain and RGAD tags, currently created by MM, and create an iTunNORM tag (part of a COMM tag) so that iPods, Sonos and other such devices would recognise them. I know that MP3Tag can do this but I would rather stick to one ...

Script: SonosReplayGain v1.0 [MM3]
When replaying Flac files, Sonos systems use the Track ReplayGain value to set the volume. https://sonos.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/sonos.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=330 This is fine if you are playing a mixture of tracks from different sources but I prefer to play music by the Album. In that case ...

Re: Get MM working on Mac w/Crossover
Hi Marv - my bottle is still working but I don't use it (VMware Fusion is easier). It is MM 3.2.4.1304 With Crossover 10.1.1. As I said it only works with the default skin and it still has the other problems mentioned earlier i.e. the Show Details screen option is blank but Show Album Art With ...

Re: Get MM working on Mac w/Crossover
I can add a bit of information here - Don't override the Skins and try to use the Windows System theme. MM does not open again if you do that (and you cant get the options back to unset it). Has anyone come up with a solution to the problem MaFt described (23 Mar 2010)? I don't get a plain white ...

Re: Maintaining Dual Fomat
Rules, what rules? There doesn't seem to be any filter on the input to the Convert Tracks Dialogue.

Re: Maintaining Dual Fomat
Looking at some of the ones that have been converted this afternoon it would also be useful if it recognised that it was up-converting (ie. from a lower bitrate to a higher) and didn't bother in those cases. In my library these are generally archived podcasts and spoken word stuff.

Re: Maintaining Dual Fomat
Basically, because it takes too long. My wife has a 64GB iPod. With no cache of the converted files they potentially have to be converted each time she changes her mind and it would take forever.
p.s. I am a Gold user.

Maintaining Dual Fomat
Long time since I have been here. Very happy customer. I am extending my system to support various mobile devices in the family and have come to the conclusion that the best format for them is a lowish bit rate mp3 file. My main library is a mix of formats, mostly FLAC and mp3 Extreme. So ... I am ...

Re: "Synching Tracks/Albums (Whatever) + Another Question!
For those files that don't get their tags updated it's no surprise that the date modified also doesn't update Yes, but I have tried forcing it by, for example adding a composer, then removing it again. Also make sure the option Modify timestamp when updating tags is enabled under Tools > Options ...

Re: "Synching Tracks/Albums (Whatever) + Another Question!
Thanks Lowlander. The Update tags box is ticked on my system and it seems to work for MP3 files. But not for WMA files that were originally ripped by Windows Media Player. The second suggestion show all tags synchronised. The problem is not that the tags are wrong but the last modified date on the ...
