Re: SQL Update, Syntax problem
QueryDataJSON has been added later after QueryData as the JSON sctructure is DB independent and thus more portable in sense of syncing multiple databases.. So, if i do changes only to QueryData (to edit filter and filter-sequences and maybe sort orders), i can ignore QueryDataJSON without any ...

Re: SQL Update, Syntax problem
so, i learned a few things about QueryData, QueryDataJSON and SQLLiteDatabase Browser. Question: What is the reason that the filter criteria for (auto) playlists are maintained in both QueryData and QueryDataJSON? What is used for what and what can be safely changed using the SQL editor? (Not a ...

SQL Update, Syntax problem
Hi folks, i want to update - changing one filter criteria - in a bunch of auto-playlists, and instead of manually checking and editing 500+ playlists, i thought of doing this with the sql addon. basically, i want to change an rating-filter into an playlist-filter , but i guess i'm running in some ...

Re: [REQ] sorting pre-sets
Some kind of pre-set could still be a QoL update, as i could change it to update all linked up playlists, right?

[REQ] sorting pre-sets
Hi folks, a suggestion for improvement: Can we have sorting profiles for playlists? A (optional) user-defined, saved sequence of sorting fields. I have >500 auto playlists that always have the same sorting order, which had to be set manually each time. A kind of “quickset” to select from here, in ...

[BUG]: Focus lost on folder rescan [#21359]
Hi folks, another (minor) bug: from node music => artist ... if you select an artist, then start an folder rescan, the selected artist is lost, as soon as you close the after-scan-notifiction. i guess, there's any kind of refresh, what is ok, but it should keep the selected artist and album. tested ...

Re: Question: Performance difference HDD vs. SSD?
I can tell you this much, once you have an SSD system drive, you will never go back :D Hi Rob, I am aware of the fundamental performance gain of SSDs; all my computers have SSD drives. Except my physical server (a total of 16TB in SSD was outside the budget at the time, although I now regret at ...

Re: Question: Performance difference HDD vs. SSD?
Sorry for the late reply, I've had a hectic few days:
I'm going to copy my installation to an SSD computer as a test and see the difference in performance.

Question: Performance difference HDD vs. SSD?
Hi Folks, for the question below, I would be interested in a statement from the developers as well as user reports: How important is hard drive speed for Mediamonkey? Background: My MediaMonkey Installation (Server and Main "client") runs as a VM in a HyperV, on physical disks at 5400 RPM. With ...

Re: Mediamonkey 2024 on Windows Server? [#21077]
Yes, I did, and that's probably part of the problem. The user under whom MMW is installed and running is a domain user (with domain admin rights). When creating the service, MMW creates the service account not in the domain notation "domain\User", but as ".\User". I still couldn't find the service ...

Re: Mediamonkey 2024 on Windows Server? [#21077]
So. I completely uninstalled MediaMonkey, cleaned up the paths and registry, and reinstalled it. folder monitoring: works now as in 5.0.4: Changes to files that have already been scanned are recognized immediately, as are newly added folders. Files that are copied into existing folders (aka ...
