Before installing the recent version of MediaMonkey 3.0.1.1127, I thought it would be a good idea to do an uninstall of the older version first. One file couldn't be deleted: DeskPlayer.dll. @statik I did a filesearch over all drives and there was only one "deskplayer.dll" - the one in the MediaMonkey folder. So there shouln't be any other software using it. And what I didn't mention so far: my Vista installation is still "clean". I installed Vista, downloaded all Windows updates and ...

Okay thanks, that helped with enabling the Micro-Player in the toolbar.
But it's somewhat strange, that the installer although having admin rights wasn't able to register the dll.

I tried to install MM as administrator with enabled UAC.
After reading your post I temporary disabled UAC - but it didn't change anything.

MM3 RC5+RC6: deskplayer.dll

Hi, I always get the following error message when trying to install MM3 RC5 or RC6: http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/2885/deskplayerut5.th.png My OS is Microsoft Vista x64 Ultimate. If I hit "ignore", MediaMoneky is usable, but there's no option to enable the Microplayer in the toolbar.
