I've been using MediaMonkey 4 for a very long time but haven't tried MediaMonkey 5 because mmemote wasn't supported with 5. Mm remote now supports MediaMonkey 5 but still doesn't support Windows 7 because it requires a vb from Microsoft that doesn't have a Windows 7 version. I finally upgraded to ...

Re: Classical Music Tag
I actually figured this out and it wasn't a problem with MediaMonkey 4 or MMA.... I thought it was syncing to laptop and it was really syncing to my desktop. Even so the classical music tag is a little bit problematic because trash can disappear into this category without the user really recognizing ...

Classical Music Tag
Syncing MM4 to MMAndroid has always been troublesome for my library Sometimes it is special characters messing things up But the classical music tag is the most problematic ..... sometimes when you rip a CD the classical music tag gets auto added instead of music tag...... which is no big deal ...

Re: How Google Plays Ball
This indicates that Google merely sends the command to the app: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/900919/#Comment_900919 So the App data is not send to Google as I read. The voice command of course does go to Google, wouldn't be surprised if they store it too. Hi Lowlander You are almost ...

Re: How Google Plays Ball
Just to be sure: Every command you speak to "OK Google" travels from your Android Phone to a Google data center, will be "translated" in a command which is executed on your phone on your home network with your local running MediaMonkey and music collection? There is no transfer of music in this ...

Re: How Google Plays Ball
Ironically it's just too simple. All you need to do is say "play song name with MediaMonkey" to OK Google and it will remember it forever. It's frighteningly accurate..... It's also interesting that Google now speaks better English than most people. That is slipping silently under the radar.

Re: How Google Plays Ball
As Google usually does they finally seen the light of day and decided to reverse their bad decision to exclude other apps from voice AI. As of the latest update you can now say OK Google and it works great with MediaMonkeyh

Re: How Google Plays Ball
An interesting development that further shows how Google plays ball ..... After an update you can no longer say "OK Google" and then say Play "Fleetwood Mac Dreams" and have Google play the right song with MMA (Mediamonkey Android). MMA is not on Googles approved list. This used to work perfectly ...

Re: How Google Plays Ball
Yes, this is very unfortunate. It's documented at http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=14570 and it seems that currently the only way is to try to request the integration via: Google App Menu button > Send feedback Jiri Hi Jiri If you are a MM dev it would be useful to know how much Google ...

How Google Plays Ball
With Mediamonkey for Android, on my phone I used to be able to say "OK Google" then "Play Fleeetwood Mac Rumors" and it would actually play the right song using MMA. Because I am curious I tested it quite extensively and although it was far from perfect, it was quite accurate and useful. Google ...

Last update really seems to have boosted speed and stability
I have complained quite a bit about MMA and the sync process ....
However with my largish collection the sync seems to have really improved with the last update ....
Thank you.....!

Re: Having Android Sync Issues? Special Characters in Filen
I cleared out all the problem directory and Filenames using a program called "advanced renamer" . Since then I haven't had any issues with sync hanging or album art. I did the original sync USB and then tried a Wifi after .... MMA still wanted to sync 900ish files that were already there. Annoying ...

MMA sync has the worst kind of Bug
MMA USB, Wireless and SD Card Reader sync are a pretty good tools when they work. They often don't and there are subtle differences between the 3 that add complexity. Here are my observations: SDCard Sync: Broken, don't waste your time, metadata doesn't get transferred anyway Wireless: slow and not ...

Re: SOLVED !!!!!! Any Way to Avoid Wireless and USB Sync
Hmmm.... Can you try to Add "$RemapASCII( {YOURCURRENTSYNCMASK} )" and try again? where would I add this? Some mm.ini. It is added way back in MMW Due the similar issues. Option is found at Insert SDCard -> Select it in Tree -> Options -> File Locations and add remap to all paths. That feature is ...
