Ok. I figured out the solution. I had to launch a command prompt as administrator and then launch MediaMonkey.exe to let it do its thing.

I uninstalled and downloaded the latest version from the website and installed it. After the installation, MM opens fine, but then I get a pop up from a MediaMonkey COM Elevator dialog box and it is stuck. It won't let me choose Yes or No to continue.

Each time I try to open Media Monkey, a popup appears to update the software. But I am unable to choose Yes or No to the "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?" dialog box. I have left it for 12 hours and it is still there. I am running Win 7 64 bit.

Thanks. But I changed this tag only after reading a post in MM's forums where someone had a similar issue. My tags were initially as you had suggested and the problem was still there.

Firstly, when I tried it on one song, it didn't work. Secondly, there are so many of them exhibiting this behavior, i doubt I can catch them all.

All the songs of a particular artist have vanished. The folder structure is intact and so are the album art. Other albums are fine. Just this one folder and all its mp3s. I am astounded and don't know what to do.
