Here is a screen show of what is going on for me. It could be just with the post-vista OS's. Wonder if XP users see it.

I can confirm that this happens for me also on Vista, SP2, running as a normal user. It is not consistent, but happens approx. 40% of the time and only while playing CDs. I seem to remember it starting right around the release of 3.1.

Under Vista (at least) I can run multiple version of MM even with the "Allow just one instance of MM" option checked. This seems to only happen when installing extensions. This is the first build I've seen this in - 1207 run fine as a normal user. For 1208 you need to be admin or it just falls down.

If the Overwrite skin them with windows default option is checked MM does not start up and hangs.
