Re: Sync two Windows computers

Yes, MM5 is the new 5.0 version of MM (currently a beta version) and yes, MMS is server version of MM (currently alpha), which works in cooperation with MM5 installed on a Windows machine. You can check out both here in the MM5 forum: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=29. Sorry for t...

Re: Sync two Windows computers

This is why we started MediaMonkey Server development. While it can be installed on a NAS, it can also work from a desktop PC, which seems to be suitable in your case. I.e., MMS on a desktop, together with MM5 and another MM5 on your laptop. Note that very soon, MMS will be usable over internet (aut...

Re: MMS for Synology NAS?

What's your NAS model? I guess that we'll need a specific build for your platform.

Re: MMS for Synology NAS?

./mms: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.20' not found (required by ./mms)
Doesn't mms run well regardless of this error message? This message is shown (~8 times) on some platforms, but doesn't have any negative effect on mms work then.

Re: MMS for Synology NAS?

Start it as

Code: Select all

./mms
This isn't too user-friendly atm, but we are working on native packages for various platforms (Synology, QNAP) and so it should be better soon. And, if you have a problem, just ask here... ;-)

Re: MMS for Synology NAS?

I see, I guess that something like nohup ./mms & should fix it. Starting from v0.2.4 there will be more command-line options, e.g. sudo ./mms --start that'd start MMS as a service. And then, we'd like to create MMS packages for various platforms soon (Synology, QNAP, ...) and avoid command-line usag...

Re: MMS for Synology NAS?

the server stays up and running when you close the website where you can configure it.
The server runs independently of the configuration. Did you have any issues?

Re: MMS for Synology NAS?

Currently you can only Edit a Collection and click OK to force-rescan. We'll need to make this more user-friendly... ;-)

Re: MMS for Synology NAS?

Note that you can connect/manage the MMS at the url indicated on its start, which in your case was http://192.168.2.112:10222. You can also see a debug log there, please send it to me then.

Thanks!

Re: MMS for Synology NAS?

Great, I forgot to write that the initial warnings are ok on an armv7 synology NAS. MMS should work fine then.

Re: MediaMonkey Server pre-release testing

Here's an update (v0.2.2) to MediaMonkey Server that includes few fixes and particularly builds for armv7 and armv8 (they work on Synology NASes or e.g. Raspberry Pi). A list of other changes can be seen at https://github.com/mediamonkeyserver/mms/commits/master . The current implementation is alpha...

Re: MMS for Synology NAS?

Zonky, have you tried the compiled generic linux64 version from https://www.mediamonkey.com/beta/mms/MMS-linux64-0.2.1.rar ? We haven't tested with an Intel Synology NAS, but I guess that this might work. Pluti, have you tried the compiled generic armv7 linux version from https://www.mediamonkey.com...

Re: How Do You Remove Disc Number?

The idea was that people usually use Disc# only to distinguish multi-disc albums and leave it empty otherwise -- which obviously isn't what everybody does. As I'm not a fan of too many configuration options, I'm not sure what's the best resolution of this. Some people will like to show disc# there, ...

Re: Cannot install NOR build on an Raspberry pi 2

Hi Laurent, I tried to install MMS from sources on my Raspberry and it worked fine. To clarify, I just downloaded the latest sources from github and run 'npm install', which takes quite a long time, but finishes eventually. I suppose that in your case, you might be missing some dependency, please ma...
