You can use both ipods with different setting, but do not try to use them both in same time and you should be OK. Can someone explain how please? Am using the latest Beta and when I cycle through track properties using the Update & Next (or Previous) track buttons, the properties from one track and (not always but regularly) being carried forward to the next track.
