yeah I got the newest version of media monkey that can handle ipods with the new iOS4

but I've successfully synced the HTC since then

I've been sucessfully syncing my htc desire for the last few months it's taken over from my ipod touch as my main music player but last week it stopped syncing mediamonkey comes up with the usual message "synchronizing HTC Desire (preparing list of tracks)" ...but it just sits there and nothing ...

mind the media monkey posts say

they are "working on 3.2.2 which will add compatibility with iOS4"

I was using beta 3.1.2.1281 - it just crashed on load but you're right there is a new version out since - version 3.2.1.1297 - just installed - no crash at startup and I can see the ipod in the menu tree but getting the following message "the ipod/iphone firmware is not compatible with this version ...

the beta crashed - and then i renamed the dll

i had the dll renamed on the previous version and it could see my ipod touch

nope - just downloaded the new beta 3.1.2.1281 and after renaming the .dll to get MM working, when I connect the ipod touch it doesn't show in the menu tree

@anubis pretty sure I shot myself in the foot with the last update too

Just updated the ipod touch to the new version it did cause MM to crash with the library error but I renamed the dll (as outlined in quite a few posts here) but MM can't see my ipod anymore in the Music Explorer Tree it does connect to the pc - I can see it in windows explorer but not in MM any ...

@trixmoto dude it really is the most amazing phone the instant "over the air" syncs between your contacts and your google address book and google calander are simply brilliant ... and syncing "just works" for a change - i always had difficulty getting sony ericsson and samsung devices to sync ...

anyone ? any ideas?

I'm getting the feeling I'm missing something obvious here.

Do I need to enable a setting in MM to make it see the Desire asa media device and not an external drive?

Just wondering if anyone else has synced playlists to an android phone with mediamonkey i've been using media monkey for years and have synced every device i've ever owned ipod touch, samsung i8910 phone, many sony ericssons, creative mp3 players etc but when i cable up the HTC desire it registers ...
