Has anyone EVER got this going reliably? I am a network professional and I’ve never got it working outside my home LAN. Works a treat if I use a massively expensive VPN solution (Cisco Anytime Connect on my ASA) so it appears that my device is on the local LAN – but the “Allow external IP addresses” ...

I use SSL, Itch and Mixed in key - as well as MM (lifetime memeber don't ya know ) and i'd like to be able to access and alter the Key tag, that i know is there in my ID3v2 tags, from within MM.

As you can see it certainly sounds nice to have MediaMonkey include limitations on what different users can do, but it really doesn't help if the users are smart enough to navigate to the music directly and use any other application to listen to the songs. @Bazildon But Parrental/Restricted Access would be very useful feature especially on shared environments. Until you've walked upstairs and heard "derek & clive's Ad Nauseam" coming from your 6yr old kids room at high volume you aint felt what it is to be a parent in the interwebworld! all good fun ...

Shame that its not built in, I'll do it using NTFS folder permissions on the network drive containing the music instead. That way the files will show in the database but shouldn't play if selected from a pc logged in as one of the kids.
