Re: Lost all metadata in database
Ok let me suggest a compromise. How about a quality auto backup feature was included with MM. The user would be promoted upon installation weather he want to enable or disable, along with a short explanation as to why this my be a good idea for beginners, and a bad one for pros. It would only take 5 ...

Wavpack in MediaMonkey
Is it possilble to use the wavpak format in MM?
Stumbled upon this site
http://home.scarlet.be/ruben.castelein/ ... lugins.htm
They have a WavPack Plugin, would I just drop that in the MM plugins folder or is there a better way?

Re: Lost all metadata in database
.... or load them from your older backup :( Do I just replace the new MM.DB with the old in my current mediamonkey folder? Great that there is a script called backup. I will definitely install it. But wouldn't it have been easier if that feature came standard with MM. That MM automatically backed ...

Re: Lost all metadata in database
Well there are other programs than MM, and in this case all files were linked inside another prg. which wouldn't have been able to find the files if I had renamed in MM. I'm gonna request an option to auto-backup the database.

Lost all metadata in database
I had to rename a folder containing about 300 files that I've been tagging over the last few days. I also had to rename a couple of files in the folder. Now all the tags that was in the database are not showing. Is MM smart and maybe kept a backup of the database somewhere to protect me from users ...

I suspect there is a misunderstanding here. Please, give a detailed example.
What does "10 times the keyboard will light up " mean?

Re: Can MM sort filenames like this?
Yeah I want to change the file names. Will probably use regexp. Just worried that my DAW won't find the newly renamed wav files when I open the project (they are on a time line) I'd most likely have to locate them manually. In other words I'm considering just leaving the files the way they are as it ...

Re: Can MM sort filenames like this?
Hmmm, will have to be careful with this one since the files also are present inside a DAW app. with markes named like the files. Think this will have to be done manually.

Re: Better Hotkey management
What if you also have Shift + F? Then when you hold down shift, with your finger, on your physical keyboard, you'll see w and f in red the rest of the keys are grey (you are now watching the the "shift" state) when you let go of shift key the layout will show the hot keys that don't require shift ...
