[1388] Renderer stops after first song. [#7777]
Tried to use MM as a play-to device by setting up the Media Server. It works, I can play files from my android phone (or Windows Media Player as source, or the MediaMonkey Server) by selecting the MM Renderer as output device. (At least if the file format is supported - see other thread) However I ...

Re: Testing 1 2 3: Remote control/Android, Dutch version
The former. The DLNA world this is called a media controller that establishes the datalink between server (play-from) en renderer (play-to device), and controls the playlist, without streaming the data itself through the intermediate device. I can switch off wifi on the phone and the music continues ...

Re: Testing 1 2 3: Remote control/Android, Dutch version
I agree, it is confusing as there are many possibilities. 2player is an android app to play both local files on the android phone and on any DLNA server in the network, including the MM server (or windows media center libraries, or NASservers, but let's not make it more confusing...). Moreover it ...

Re: Testing 1 2 3: Remote control/Android, Dutch version
Thanks. For hardware devices I understand, but since the MM Renderer is internal and made by the MM people, it seems that it should be possible to stream any type that MM supports without transcoding, as all codecs are already in place. And if remote control is the goal, the Server & Renderer are ...

Testing 1 2 3: Remote control/Android, Dutch version
Hi, I've been testing MM built 1388 this weekend, here are some of my findings. - Dutch version: Install problems at the end when MM starts up for the first time: several popup windows, cannot create PF../MM../Trash folder, some nl locale folder, and ends with fail to install the language version ...

Re: Best library directory structure?
First of all the obvious - make sure that you work on a copy of the mp3 files, you do not want to make irreversible errors. Then import and see if MM has made a reasonable album -artist - composer etc database. Do not worry about filenames - if the mp3 tags are ok MM can make a new folder/file ...

Re: Gapless
I use wave out with a 2000ms read ahead on track change as well as 2000ms buffer and do not have any issue with gapless flacs under these conditions on a slow atom netbook. Directsound never worked gapless for me, asio neither. One other issue perhaps: Mp3 could be different due to the encoder as it ...

Re: Multiroom, Latencies, Streaming, Remote Speakers etc.
One easy thing to check is badly written drivers locking up your system for too long.
See dpclat.exe at http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml to see if there is anything suspicious (dunno if it runs on your OS though).

Re: USB DAC and spitting noise
No idea, but a few things to check: I assume you already tried to increase the buffers (not likely though that this helps) Does is also happen if the laptop runs on battery? You can check with dpclat.exe (http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml) if your computer is locked by some device for ...

Re: [MAJOR] - Incorrect Artist/Album Artist Classifications
A few suggestions that you can check, just to pinpoint the problem more clearly and send it to the MM developerswith a better context. I would not rebuild the entire database again, but rename the old one, and make a small new one, by adding a few folders that were misclassified / causing errors. MM ...

Re: Album Art Problem
Is is like this with all http links?
The only thing I can think of is that this http server serving the image now started checking 'who' is issuing the request (browser type etc) and tries to prevent spiders/bots from accessing and saving all their contents.

Re: Album art visible and not.
Check this thread: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =1&t=45689
It is a bug in the caching method I assume.
BTW, MM stores resized cover previews in a local TEMP directory (named MMcache + some numbers) - they probably can also be deleted.

Re: Audio Skipping / Stutter (Windows 7)
You can test a program at http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml to see if the system is blocked by a poorly written W7 driver. Test it while running MM and without to see if is is related to a MM function or a system driver.
