Re: MM can't see newly added folder
One possible idea: If you're auto organizing your media and MediaMonkey is relocating the files as soon as it finds stuff there that folder may never show up for longer than it takes MM to process the organization directives 'cause there aren't any files there once MM has moved 'em. Just a thought.

Re: Currupt Tags Detection
Try this. It'll work on MM4. Just do this to every track, not just the unsynchronized ones.
Happens a lot with Dj software and DAWS.

Re: Intentional Duplicates
I guess my question is why? If you're using MediaMonkey then you don't really need to care about the file system structure (like where the actual file is located) 'cause MM takes care of all that stuff. If you need to use it in other apps on your 'puter just drag and drop from MediaMonkey and call ...

Re: album artist field ?
I've found the auto population of the album artist tag to be a bit... unreliable on import if you don't import it using the structure of /<album>/<artist> - <title> or a similar variant. If MM can't determine the album through the metadata or interpolation it will leave that field blank. The good ...

Re: Music (Library)
Groovy. Then you shouldn't have any issue modifying the "Music Collection" to only include the tracks of your choice (or exclude those you don't want in there).

Re: adding media directly to "tv" rather than "Video"
If there's a tag or element of the file that's unique to TV rather than Video (probably not - reaching) you can probably pull this off. You'd need to edit both the Video Collection to exclude that element and the TV Collection to include it.

Re: 1511 How to determine Search "Current Collection"
When you're looking at the node created by the search there's no way to tell what library it's being generated from.
When you're entering in the search criteria from the main window you can see the active library in the tabs across the top - before the search is submitted.

Re: Music (Library)
MeMeMe is correct on both counts. You can modify any of the collections to display only the types of files you desire (I removed the classical music from my Music Collection 'cause I didn't want them in there. I also use MM to manage all the audio clips and loops for music/sound production I do so I ...

Re: Send To > Copy {and keep source folder structure}
Hey, a7Kvy. You're right. Using the Send to > Copy function from the context menu is a bit limited. It doesn't create the hierarchy at all. It just copies the files (as named) to the directory of your choosing. Sometimes this is helpful but considering what it sounds like you're trying to do I'd ...

Peke,
Many thanks. I'm pretty close to having a working platform for folks to take a look at. I do appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

DJ Song Request Site Ideas
Greetings, my friends! I'm considering making a song request service for DJ's and I'd really really appreciate your feedback on some of my thoughts. If you'd be so kind, zip over to http://djsizzly.com/content/dj-request-site-survey. I really want to make this site something that DJs and their ...

Traktor 2.03 and FLAC
Greetings, my friends!
Native Instruments just released Traktor Pro version 2.0.3! Guess what! It now supports the FLAC format. Now you can choose WAV or FLAC if you're managing your tunes for Traktor using MediaMonkey. How cool is that?

Re: Does MM support 24 bit encoded files?
It does. All the sweepers and interviews I do for my show are 24bit.
It's not really MM that's the question but rather the sound interface that MM is routing audio through that determines whether 24bit is supported.

Yeah, I have the same issue with MM3. But I concur... Not a huge headache.
