I agree, Mp3DirectCut is a wonderful bit of software, but the manual is less than optimal... However, after studying it, I figured out that key combination (B N C) for cue sheet manipulation... mind you, I studied it for 2 years before figuring it out... I imagine that I'll be able to use ...

Hi Philby, To edit tag names in Mp3DirectCut: 1. navigate into the section that you want to name eg, if you have a cut at 1'10 and 1'30, goto somewhere like 1'28 that is, the cursor should be between the two cue points. 2. Edit> Names and Part properties or Ctrl-N to pull up the naming dialog 3 ...

I find MP3DirectCut to be the best way to create cue sheets (http://www.mpesch3.de/) It has a wonderful display showing the 'shape' of the audio without having to convert the mp3 to wav.. The interface is a little ... challenging.. but if you remember these few steps, it's great: 1. Listen to track ...

alternative podcast list

Hi, Just a suggestion, but have you considered storing the podcast URLs in an OPML file instead of the MediaMonkey.ini file. The advantages include: - wouldn't require visual studio :) - would allow easy migration from other podcast clients (eg doppler, juice, ipodder) - would allow migration from ...

Does this work?

Hi, Can't get this to work at all, with too many error messages to list here.... Ok, here's one error to kick the ball into play: I presume that the installation is: 1. Install podcast_x.vbs into the <program files>\mediamonkey\scripts\auto directory. 2. Restart mediamonkey. 3. Goto Tools> Options ...

the picasa of music managers

My vote is for picasa... simple, easy to use, fast and free... I'm inclined to think you need a different type of application for audio and that MediaMonkey is the picasa of music managers...

(funny thing is that i don't even get paid for doing this mm promotion stuff)

me too

this is the kind of podcast support I'd like to see in MM...
that is, MM should help me to handle the GBs of mp3 that i receive via podcast client (whether that client is a future podcast enabled MM or not)
