Re: Multiple UAC Prompts for Standard User?
Let me assure you that I have never in my life so much as entertained the notion of installing the portable version of MM. That leaves file associations as a possible cause of my trouble. So now I must wait for 4.1 to be released, and if that doesn't solve my problem I have to submit a bug report ...

Re: Multiple UAC Prompts for Standard User?

Re: Multiple UAC Prompts for Standard User?
I have never installed the portable version of MM.
From reading this forum, it appears that this is a long-standing and still unsolved problem.
MM is not usable under this circumstance.

That option was already unchecked before this problem started.

Multiple UAC Prompts for Standard User?
Running MediaMonkey 4.0.7.1511 on Windows 7 Pro x64. When I start MM in a Standard User account I receive repeated UAC prompts - 42 in all. I don't enter a password, I just click 'No' to the UAC prompt and eventually I am able to use MM.
Any way to fix this?

Re: Possible to Update MediaMonkey?
So there is. Thank you for pointing that out to me. Unfortunately, that feature did not alert me to the new version of MediaMonkey, even though it was checked. I found out about 4.0.5 from my third-party alerter application.

Re: Possible to Update MediaMonkey?
Understood. Users should check the MediaMonkey website every few months or use a third-party aleter service (as I do) to find out whether MediaMonkey has been updated, because the application can't tell you on its own.

Possible to Update MediaMonkey?
Currently using MM 4.0.3.1476. I see that there's a new version out - 4.0.5. Anyone know how to update to the latest version? I've been through the MM menu system twice and don't see a menu selection that says "Update" or "Check for updates" as is common in other software.

Re: MM Starts With Last Song Played
I think it's more useful to have the last track played displayed there so that if you were to hit the "Play" button on the player, something would play. As opposed to clearing the player, so none of the buttons have any function. I don't want to cause trouble over a minor issue, but isn't it ...

Re: MM Starts With Last Song Played
If it's such an old gripe, I wish it would get addressed.
That said, it's only a small complaint in an otherwise excellent piece of work.

Re: MM Starts With Last Song Played
Is it "necessary" - no. However, what is the purpose for having the last song cued up forever? It is intuitive that once a song or a playlist is done, the player is cleared. At least, this is what we have come to expect since this is the behavior of Windows Media Player, VLC, QuickTime, Winamp ...

Re: MM Starts With Last Song Played
Thank you ... that works.
But it's crazy that there's no way to clear the media player without re-starting MediaMonkey.

MM Starts With Last Song Played
I am a happy user of MM 4.0.3 on Windows 7. When MM opens, the player (on the bottom) always shows the last song played. The only way to get rid of that song is to select another song to play, and then that song stays in the player until I choose another song... I can't figure out how to get the ...

Here At Last!
After all, I was one of the posters who raked the devs over the coals for promising big on v4 and then taking their sweet time to deliver. So it behooves me to say, now that v4 is finally here for end users and not beta testers : Hooray! And most important of all: Job well done! It is a very ...
