Sound from MM web browser tabs
Does the sound coming from anything running in the MediaMonkey web browser tab(s) go through the normal MM output plug-in pathway? For example, if a user is watching a YouTube video in a tab of MM, does the video's sound go through DSP and Output plug-ins or direct to Windows sound driver?

Re: Using the COM interface from C++ on Win7 [#9508]
Okay, so I took a few leaps of faith from the example (Delphi) general-purpose plug-in and I think I have the new callback implemented correctly: static DWORD mmCookie = 0; extern "C" __declspec(dllexport) void MMSetInterfaceCookie(DWORD cookie) { mmCookie = cookie; } ... if (mmCookie > 0) { CComPtr ...

Re: Using the COM interface from C++ on Win7 [#9508]
How would I go about updating the MM IDL that I am using? I got it from http://www.mediamonkey.com/sw/MediaMonkey.idl and it appears unchanged.

Re: Using the COM interface from C++ on Win7
I managed to figure out the issue with some searching and trial-and-error. It turns out that I have been using the portable installation of MediaMonkey on Windows 7, whereas I have a standard install on my XP machine. The full install registers the MM COM objects with Windows as expected; the ...

Re: Using the COM interface from C++ on Win7
I'm not sure what that means exactly. I import the mm_h.c and mm_h.h files generated from the idl file. But other than that, I am only running the code below as far as COM goes. I should also mention that the result from CoCreateInstance is E_NOINTERFACE. Again, this all works on XP; same code same ...

Using the COM interface from C++ on Win7 [#9508]
I have been running the following snippet from within an output plug-in for some time now. It works to this day in MM 4.0.7 on Win XP. However on Win 7, it fails to get access to the SDBApplication COM object. Anyone know how to get access to the MM COM interface on Win 7? if (FindWindow(L ...

Re: Remote Speaker Output - Configuration Help Anyone..??
It looks like running MM with the /NoSplash option (to disable the splash screen during startup) is a viable workaround. I was able to correctly interact with the Remote Speakers output dialog box and continue on to start MM normally. To disable the splash screen, right-click your MediaMonkey ...

Re: Remote Speaker Output - Configuration Help Anyone..??
I was able to recreate the problem on my Windows XP box with MediaMonkey 3.2.2.1300. I vaguely remember this same issue with an earlier version of MM and I thought they made a change to fix it. I am thinking we should submit this as a MM bug to be fixed in a future version. In the meantime, I'll see ...

Re: Remote Speaker Output - Configuration Help Anyone..??
Could you try running this version of Remote Speakers output with MediaMonkey to see if the startup issue is still occurring? http://emilles.dyndns.org/software/out_ ... -3.0b7.zip

Re: Remote Speaker Output - Configuration Help Anyone..??
You could try installing Winamp lite quickly to see if the activation dialog works there. If you can get the plug-in registered with Winamp, it will also be registered for MM. Then, MM might be able to start up normally. (Once the plug-in is registered, you could uninstall Winamp.) I'll also see if ...

Re: Remote Speaker Output - Configuration Help Anyone..??
When I load up Media Monkey, a dialog box warns " Cannot locate pcgw32.dll " When I look at the plug-in directory, the file pcgw32.dll is in the plug-in folder, along another dll file called pcgw32_rso.dll (which I guess looks like some sort of RSO variant or linking file). pcgw32.dll and pcgw32 ...

Re: Multiroom, Latencies, Streaming, Remote Speakers etc.
If the playback counter is racing/acting irregularly, that is a sign that the buffer within RSO or the AirPort Express suddenly has a lot of room in it to fill. RSO does not do anything to try and sync the playback timer to the audio coming out of the remote speakers. It is tied directly to the ...

Remote Speakers output plug-in (AirPort Express / AirTunes)
For those interested in wireless audio streaming to a stereo reciever, I have recently created a MediaMonkey-compatible output plug-in that is capable of streaming audio to an Apple AirPort Express (ala AirTunes). http://emilles.dyndns.org/software/out_apx.html The plug-in currently has the ...

I have put together a plug-in that integrates fully with MedaiMonkey to stream its output to an Apple AirPort Express. It has none of the hang-ups of some of the other alternatives out there (one song at a time playback, .NET framework required, command-line interface, external program to launch or ...
