Linked duplicates w/ different formats?

Does MediaMonkey have any way to have multiple different versions of the same song linked in some way, so they don't show up as duplicates? Like, if I have both an MP3 and a FLAC of an album, it would just show one entry, but keep them up to date, and use the MP3 automatically when synching to my ph...

Re: High DPI display support in future versions [#11014]

Sounds like they just can't win until they v5. At 200% though, I can confirm 4.14 is a huge improvement over the previous releases. The unscaled elements were bad, but it was really the sluggishness that killed it at 4K, and the snappiness in the new release is an excellent reminder of why I started...

Re: High DPI display support in future versions [#11014]

Until MM5 is released, can they at least remove the "<dpiAware>true</dpiAware>" block from the exe manifest? I was doing that myself previously (along with setting the CPU affinity to avoid some thread contention issues I reported years ago), but it now causes an error on startup, which I assume is ...

Copy music synched to one phone to another?

I just got a new iPhone and when I plug it in MediaMonkey apparently detects it as different than my previous one, so the "Auto-Sync (-->Device)" tab doesn't have anything checked. I've also manually synced a couple of songs over to the previous phone by dragging them onto the iPhone node in the tre...

iOS/Android player with multiple song artist support?

MediaMonkey supports storing multiple artists in the "song artist" tag separated by a / or ;, and nicely shows such songs under both artists, which makes it much nicer than tacking "feat." on to the song name. Are there any music players for either iOS or Android that support that? Both iTunes and A...

[1435] Show Art + Details sorted by summary is slow [#8416]

I have the display set to Album Art + Details, sorted by the Summary column, with the "Art View" under "Playback Rules" swapped to <Album Artist>/<Album> so it sorts by the artist first. When I first load Media Monkey scrolling using the mouse wheel is extremely slow. Every new page displayed pauses...

Re: 1414: Show Art with Details

Change to details view. Sort on "Album artist". Hold the Ctrl key, sort by "Album". Change back to show art with details view. Voila. How is that a good solution to this problem? Ctrl+Clicking to sort by multiple columns is not standard listview behavior (Explore doesn't do it, for example) and hav...

1364: Global hotkeys are passed to active application

I think this was an issue in MM3 as well: I have several hotkeys assigned with the "Global" checkbox checked (e.g., WinKey+] for "Playback: Next file"). While MediaMonkey does detect those key presses, it doesn't flag it as handled, so the active application sees ']' and does whatever it does with i...

1364: Now Playing album art flashes blurry->sharp->blurry

I have my "Now Playing" album art fairly large (432x432) and when I start playing a new song it flashes blurry (low res) for a second then adjusts to higher res. Occasionally it then goes back to blurry and stays that way until I start playing a new song. It's even occurring in cases where there is ...

It's working for me now too. Thanks for fixing it. :)

Re: 1350: Single file Play Now doesn't work [#7285]

Narrowed it down a bit more: You can't double-click to start playing a song if it's the initial selection when you visit a node *or* if you move from that song to another using the keyboard (arrow keys or typing the artist name). These steps work: 1) Select Music/Artist & Album Artist/Metallica 2) D...

Re: 1350: Single file Play Now doesn't work [#7285]

Interesting... if I switch between two artists nodes in the Music/Artist & Album Artist node it behaves like I described above. Switching back and forth between "Music" and "Artist & Album Aritist/xyz" works most of the time.

Re: 1346: Single file Play Now doesn't work [#7285]

This is still partially broken in 1350. If you select a different tree node than what's currently in "Now Playing" and double click a file it still doesn't do anything. If you then select a different file in the same node and double click it it will start playing that and "Now Playing" will repopula...

1346/1.09: Resuming .m4a files doesn't work

In all of the v4 releases so far resuming .m4a files doesn't work for me. I can repeat the issue reliably by playing a song for 10 seconds or so, then pausing for 6, then resuming. After I resume the song continues playing for about 10 seconds more, then the sound cuts out but the tracker bar keeps ...

Re: 1346: Single file Play Now doesn't work

Found the combination that's problematic: Playback Rules/Play Now: "Clear tracks & play selected + subsequent" View: "Show Art with Details" It doesn't matter how many files or albums are visible. Changing "Play Now" to either "Clear tracks & play selected only" or "Play selected tracks only" fixes ...
