That is a nice tip, I would not have discovered that on my own. However, my point still stands when trying to rewind or fast-forward, which I often do when listening to audiobooks or podcasts.

Correction, .m4b can be encrypted. If you buy e.g. an audiobook from iTunes, it is an encrypted .m4b.
My point is, the formats have different capabilities (can/cannot be encrypted) and thus it might be useful to be able to treat them differently.
