More details on the double scrobbling:

Sometimes it seems to double scrobble songs from the now playing list and others it doesn't scrobble at all.

Heh, now it does work there seems to be a second issue. MM4 1355 seems to scrobble the last song in the "now playing" list twice.
I have no idea as of yet if this is always the case but it happened at least 3 times in the last 24 hours already.

Nice after uninstalling the scrobbler and reinstalling with "install for current user" unticked, the "Show Log File" button on the options panel finally worked and it also submitted now-playing information as well as it scrobbled correctly.
