Re: Why is the drive letter missing from CurrentNode.Path?

Yeah, found the DriveLetter in the Media object. Didn't find a way though how to get the corresponding Media from the CurrentNode. I tried SDB.Media but that is empty.

Why is the drive letter missing from CurrentNode.Path?

I'm using this code in a script:

Code: Select all

Set Node = SDB.MainTree.CurrentNode
foldername = "D" & Node.Path
I have to add the drive letter (D) manually because it's missing from the path. Is that a bug? Or is that intended? Is there a way to get the full path or the drive letter?

Remember the position in last played file

Hi there,

I searched the options, forum and the help but i couldn't find this option.

I'd like Mediamonkey to remember the location in the file i last played. I have some long mixes and when i restart Mediamonkey i want it to continue where i left off. Is that possible?

Regards,

Rob

rusty, Did you get the info i sent to jiri (the sources from the modded dll) with the info about the supported meta tags? It seems that (besides using filename instead of title) the device doesn't support some metatags under windows 2000. Syncing with the modded dll works under windows 2000. If you ...

I see that you have destination in MM set as \Music\<Filename>, have you tried \Music\<Artist>\<Album>\<Filename> in order to try to do something like WMP does? The path doesn't matter. You can put the files anywhere you want in WMP9. I like the path MediaMonkey uses so i added all files this way ...

You have to provide some more info about the problems you have. Does MediaMonkey see your device? Does it seem to transfer the files? Does it do anything? Can you provide a log from WMLog (http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7245) and point out what files are transfered with MediaMonkey ...

Syncing your 'Plays for sure' device under Windows 2000

It's possible to sync your 'Plays for sure' device under Windows 2000. Make sure you have the 'WMDM drivers' for Windows 2000 installed. If you got them, you have to change some options in MediaMonkey. Go to: Tools->options->Portable audio devices->[Your device]->Configure->Synchronisation options ...

Just drop me an e-mail, I can send you sources for testing. Jiri jiri at mediamonkey.com? You can probably see my email address in my profile here? You can use that. Not being a programmer, I am having a hard time understanding why MM does not work while WMP 9 does... Don't they call the same DLLs ...

No updates yet. Copying dll's from Win XP won't work. These files work together tightly with media player 10. No way you can get them to work on win2000. imho there's one thing we can try: sync files without metadata like i described here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=51876#51876 ...

As for now, transfering files with MM to a 'playsforsure' (like your Sleek Photo) device doesn't work.
The only way is using wmp9. You can use MM to organize the files but you need wmp9 to transfer them.

I wonder whether it isn't an issue with WMDM layer on your W2K machine. I'm affraid you're probably right. It seems that the WMDM layer on W2k is different from the XP version. This is a listing of the files: %windir%/System32/drivers/wpdusb.sys %windir%/System32/mtpiusb.dll %windir%/System32 ...
