Re: How to create an infintely nested playlist
Well, if there is reason to think that the latest version may not have the issue, I'll test it.

How to create an infintely nested playlist
This was with MMW 4.11.1783. Don't want to try to recreate it, until I know there's a way to recover. I can load the newest build or a debug build, but prefereably after the library is un-corrupted again. (Don't try this on a library you care about) 1. Select a top-level playlist. Mine was an ...

Re: Sync and play music over cellular
1. Would it work if MMA allowed one to specify an IP address, port, and URL?
2. Which client(s) do people use/recommend to receive audio from home networks?

Re: SOLVED Play button has no effect
The cause was that MM was set to play to a remote output device. I don't know what the root cause is, since I haven't changed that setting -- perhaps MM auto-dectected it on install? (I am not sure how it got into that mode.) However, there was no error message about this until I re-installed MM ...

Re: Play button has no effect
To clarify, NONE of the files I have tried will play. I can add a set of tracks to the Now Playing list and one will turn bold as if it is playing, but nothing happens. No elapsed time, no moving on to the next track. I can pick a different track, and its line will turn bold. But, no reaction from ...

Re: Play button has no effect
The files (same ones, and some additional ones) fail to play when opened from Explorer, both when MM had to be started and when it was already started. * The name, attributes, album art show up in MM * If I copy the path from the MM Properties box to Explorer, I get a prompt "how do you want to open ...

SOLVED Play button has no effect
Just upgraded a PC to Windows 10 and re-installed MM Gold. When hitting the Play button in the GUI, "play now" from the menu, etc. the file does not play -- the time does not move forward. Details: * The file info appears in the Now Playing list and the _/Now Playing\_ tab * The "play/pause" tool ...

Timestamp of mm.db file?
Hi, I notice that the timestamp on the mm.db file is old (Nov 2014). If I make a new playlist, the time doesn't change. So, I think I'm looking at a different copy of mm.db than the one MM is using... But, the .ini points to the one I'm looking at... And, searches of the drive don't show any other ...

Re: A (best?) way to catalog non-ripped physical CDs?
Thank you for your patience and the answers. I now know what confused me: a) The VirtualCD node shows only the ripped/copied tracks, not all of them. All the tracks show in the Locations nodes(*) b) I didn't find an evident way to create a VirtualCD with no ripped tracks. Send to VirtualCD from the ...

Re: A (best?) way to catalog non-ripped physical CDs?
VirtualCD should be the way to do this as it was designed for this. Understood. So, I took another look -- 1. Put the CD in the drive. Right-click on the drive in the Media Tree -> choose Send To -> Virtual CD. 2. Track info from FreeDB pops up -> Ok, looks good -> Continue 3. MM starts to copy ...

A (best?) way to catalog non-ripped physical CDs?
Happily using MM gold for years, now it's time to clean up the boxes of CDs in the closet. I'd like to use the MM library to catalog the discs and tracks, then store them away. Goals: 1. Want to include the discs and track lists in the MM library 2. Don't want to rip every track to the hard drive 3 ...

NPR podcasts in MM now have filenames in place of titles
Symptom: Some, but not all, podcasts downloaded from NPR queries have their Title fields changed to their filenames by MM upon completing the download. Example query: http://api.npr.org/query?requiredAssets=audio&searchTerm=gospel&dateType=story&output=Podcast&searchType=fullContent&apiKey ...

Find Missing/Moved results dialog is not resizable [#8650]
After getting the results of a find missing/moved search, I noticed that the dialog which shows the results can't be resized. That makes it hard to compare the old and new path columns.

Many prompts when download folder can't be created [#8643]
Coincidently, the drive I had configured for MM podcasts failed. I removed it from the system. Noticed that MM4 will now prompt over and over with "The directory <d:\...> cannot be created. [Cancel] [Retry] [Ignore]" No matter which option I choose, the same dialog reappears. Seems to be once per ...
