Have you trie Steegy's Switch Or Copy Fields script? Nyn I was under the impression that Steegy's Switch or Copy Fields can only manipulate fields already in the library. I'm looking for something which takes this a step further an loads (reads) tags which MM doesn't add when adding files into the ...

Is their a script which allows you to read ID3v2.3 tags into Custom Fields in the database?

eg. TXXX 'STYLE' into Custom Field 2
eg. TMOO into Occasion

I have lots of classification data stored in my tags which I'd like to get into the MM Database.

And I forgot to mention that MP3Tunes has added AMG's Tapestry where your music is tagged and then you can create playlists based on moods or themes... etc.

We haven't implemented this yet, because most of users probably prefer this to be as automatic as possible, without the need for new fields. Therefore currently MM for example can automatically handle 'the' prefixes. That said, we are interested in your suggestions and it would be nice to know how ...

They will not be able to support these fields until they complete their compatibility with ID3 v2.4. I am anxiously awaiting this capability, as well.

How exactly does MM mess up the tag? MM currently saves ID3v2.3, because from compatibility point of view it seems to be the best solution... MM3 is still not saving tags as v2.4. It seems to be reading them correctly, but if I make a change to the properties (and allow it to save to tags) it reverts the tags to v2.3 and messes them up. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong or if there is a setting to forces the writing of v2.4 ...

Is there a way to "encourage" MM to use v2.4 vs. 2.3? A config variable?
A menu option? I can't seem to find anywhere to set this.
