Now neither iTunes nor Windows recognizes the iPod!

The Apple site says to restore the ipod, but if iTunes won't see it, it can't be restored.

Any ideas?

I clicked the check box next to "Force Connection" and it seems to be working now.

This error comes up at every start-up, and now I am unable to get MM to play at all. Had the same issue before and it was the encoder. Is there any connection between this error and the encoder failures I am having?

I went into the LastFM settings and changed my password to my current password... weird I know, but it worked. I am scrobbling again.

Sounds like the password is messed up on the server side.
