iTunes clearing the mucic off my iPhone
Hi I have unclicked the "Sync Music" option at the top of the Music panel in iTunes, which I would assume tell iTunes to leave the Music alone. However it seems that every time I connect my iPhone and it loads iTunes it is erasing all the music that I sync onto the device using MM? I did find a ...

Syncing Audio Books to iPod Classic [5289]
Hi I got an iPod classic for Christmas to replace my aging iRiver H340 and so far it is working really well. However I am having some slight issues with the syncronisation (with MM3) of audio books. Steps below: - tag the audio book with the audio book genre - this removes it from the music tab on ...

I don't have such a folder -was your Vista an upgrade from XP? I tried to set up that folder in case it was a path issue. When I tried to set up a "Documents and Settings" Vista tried to re-direct me, which meant I did find the files at: C:\Users\Mark\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey Thanks for the help ...

3.0.0.1020 - updating database to the newest version
Hi I have just installed Alpha 2 and I still can'tget MM to run. I get the following error when MM starts: There was a problem with updating database to the newest version. I had the same problem with Alpha 1. This is on Vista Ultimate 32bit. Does anyone have MM3 working on Vista and if so is there ...

MM3 Crashes on load
I have just installed the MM3 alpha on Vista 32 Ultimate and it crashes as soon as it opens with the following error:
There was a problem with updating the database to the latest version.
Has anyone else seen this and know how I might fix it?

Problem with "Locate Moved/Missing Tracks..."
Hi I have just had to rebuild my PC and as a result my library has moved from a now non-existant G drive to an F drive. I have run the locate missing moved tracks options but it seems to not be finding a variety of tracks. For example: On many albums it has found most of the tracks (in FLAC) but ...

Synchronisation options
When setting up the configuration for the storage on my H340 I am setting the folders as: Music\<Artist@3>\<Artist>\ However it is being reset to Music\@3A\<Artist>\ when I Ok the dialog. I seems to sync the first time, but then starts using a hard folder called "@3A" rather than using the parameter ...

Peke Thanks for the offer, but as Lowlander says this appears to be a mess. MediaMonkey user a tag called rating and stores a value from 0-100, Tag&Rename also uses rating but stores 0-5. Irivium appears to use a tag called RATING and stores 0-5. I think I may give it up until MM comes up with a ...

OK. I was just having a look because I am using Irivium to sync FLAC files over to the H340 whilst automatically converting them to WMA. I'm not getting any ratings shown on the resulting WMA files so wanted to check what was happening. Interestingly having just had a look I can see any ratings on ...

Rating tags in FLAC
I noticed that the ratings flags in FLAC seem to be out of 100 so if I rate a track as 4 in MM the FLAC tag says 80. Is that correct?

Synching with an iRiver H340
Am I missing it or is there no way to hold my library as a lossless format such as APE or FLAC and then have the files encoded as OGG or MP3 as part of the transfer to the device?
Alternatively is there a simple way of holding an OGG or MP3 mirror of the library?
