Wow, here I am again, facing the overwhelming perspective of using that script. Such power... I feel humbled. :) Anyway : my purpose is to tidy up a 230k entries database. I manage songs, midi files, audio samples, midi loops, drum samples patterns and ... videos since recently. I'm considering ...

Re: MM 4 Chokes on Large Collections
Do you mean to say the option to update tags on property edits is disabled under Tools > Options > Tags & Playlists? Yep, disabled or not doesn't seem to change a thing. Running 1493 now. I re-enabled the option, since disabling does not help with the staling gui and I need audio files to have ...

Re: MM 4 Chokes on Large Collections
Hi lowlander; Confirmed. This is disk access indeed. This means that disabling tags is broken as suspected. I did not notice this in previous versions but I couldn't say when it started. Db gets optimized twice a day. Wieth lots of improvements, since I am still doing large chunks of updates. Today ...

Re: MM 4 Chokes on Large Collections
I think this problem might apply on my system with beta 4.05.90. System PC is XP3 with 3.5 gb Ram + 4 gb swap in Ram. i7/x58. Hard disk is data (not only audio) dedicated, hence 4kb clusters. 2TB. Healthy, contiguous file system. Couldn't reproduce it but I once saw the whole 7 GB of virtual memory ...

Terrific Trix ! After helping organize a 25k cdg collection, this script will help save mxm files (MixMeister, not Traktor) for another 80k. Not sure if I donated already, will have to check that :) Currently running (1.1, just noticed) in MM4.03. I wonder if the script can have anything to do with ...

Re: "Unable to Replace Image" [#9255]
I have been having the same problem for months. Thought my database was corrupted, until I removed the splash and saw the "unable to create image" message, which led me here. I could not get a debug file as first reboot solved the problem. Video card is a radeon 5770 with latest drivers. Only thing ...

Re: Restore/Synchronize Database 3.1 (2012-02-04) [MM3+]
It seems my backup db is corrupted in a way that make the script fail at Playlists import. I removed all scripts but this one and tried to maintain backup db. Same error message : "vacuum etc." Fresh db maintains just fine. The restore process seems to fail at playlists import with message (in ...

Re: Restore/Synchronize Database 3.1 (2012-02-04) [MM3+]
Hello everyone, I am so glad for this script to exist. I seem to have a corrupted database (3.2) with apparently no hope for fixing it, whatever I try. My plan is to rescan folders and run the script. Database corruption shows when doing db maintenance (full only) and during attempts to update to 4 ...

Re: Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix 3.7.4 (2010-08-21)
[Edit: Solved. see message bottom] Hi everyone, Does someone have an experience with using this script to BPM tag Flac or Ogg files ? I am refering to BPM mixmeister that does not support these codecs. It looks like it just can do that but I seem to have a hard time finding my way around the logic ...

Re: gpu acceleration in MM?
MM does not have any graphics to render, no point in using gpu whatsoever. As for performance gain, I found that disk access is indeed the bottleneck and, despite Mm being the best at handling large collections, it can still feel sluggish. At first, I ran an auto-defrag script on the db file, which ...

Re: Assertion Failure..
I just installed 4.02 over 3.x and had the same message (with M:\) on first launch. Complete maintenance before upgrade. .db file is on a ramdisk which is not mounted and music files are on the regular datadisk, not mapped nor mounted. M:\ obviously looks like an absolute path. Rings no bell either ...

Re: Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix 3.7.4 (2010-08-21)
Well, I'm just posting to share my positive experience with this script. I have used MusicIp for years, managing duplicates. I loved how accurate it has been but it was a somewhat tedious process. I ruined some nice playlists in the process and I finally got into the habit of leaving depes for this ...
