Using MM as player with Synology NAS files
HI, I recently moved my music tracks over to a new Synology DS418j, but I cannot see the NAS in the main tree. I am running MM under Parallels on my Mac which functioned very well when I had the tracks on my Mac HDD. Any suggestions please?

Re: No sound output
OK, all working again. Just needed to re-register plug-in. For anyone wishing to run MM in Parallels 9 I can confirm it works well. A bit expensive if you only need MM but I need to run a couple of other Windows programs (I hate iTunes, iPhoto, etc) then it's a no-brainer. Cheers.

Re: No sound output
Hi, yes all other sounds etc are working fine. I'm not sure which output plugin should be used or how to set it up. Up until the last update it just worked and as a Lifetime Gold Member I have been able to fully enjoy my music and all the benefits of MM. If someone can guide me it would be much ...

No sound output
I have been successfully running MM on my Mac by using Parallels 9 desktop. Since the latest update of MM I have lost sound. Has anyone else experienced this and what could be the issue please?

Re: Archos synchronisation
Thanks Nohitter, that seems to have done the trick. Now all I've got to do is find out why MM 3 has added extra album art to all my files and I'll be happy. Loved version 2 but while version 3 looks good on the face of it, it has done a couple of things I didn't expect. I'll check out the forum ...

Re: Archos synchronisation
Thanks for the tip. It sadly only placed the music tracks in folders as per the "genre". I store my tracks in folders that relate to the "origin" and these are then classified by genre to give me a few ways of playing the music. For example I have a folder "International Artists" so I can play all ...

Archos synchronisation
The Archos 504 (80 GB) is treated as a USB mass storage device. I keep my mp3s in folders such as "Early Rock", "Easy Listening", "Instrumentals", etc, etc. Is there a simple way to synchronise with MM and keep the tracks in their folders? I'm not familiar with scripting so any suggestions ...

Playlists on external drives
Not at all - pleasure to help out if I can. I've been using it for a few years now and it's the only player that keeps my mp3 catalogue in good shape and is simple enough for an Old Fart like me to master.

Playlist on external drives
No it doesn't duplicate the file it just tells MM where to go to find it (disk location) so that you can play it on MM.

Creating playlists
Hi DJ Gonzo I am assuming that you have scanned your hard drive(s) for your mp3 trax. The steps are quite simple so here goes: 1. In the tree on the left side of the MM screenyou will see a heading "Playlists" 2. Right click on the header and click on "new playlist" 3. Name the new playlist 4. click ...

Restoring Playlists
Yeah, I've checked the playlist node. Even brought up the playlist from the hard drive folder, highlighted all the tracks and sent them to a new playlist. The new playlist showed up in the node but had no tracks associated with it (nothing showing).

Restoring Playlists
I have tried this but MM is not displaying the m3u playlists. They are present on the PC hard drive, they are m3u files and I've ticked all the boxes I can find but still they remain invisible after "add/rescan".
